About

With so much going on with the world, a Christian is expected to set himself apart from all the earthly pleasures that might separate him from God. That is, with no doubt, correct. So, why on earth am I watching anime, reading manga series, following Kdrama and J-movies, leisurely spending money on every newly-opened/discovered food stop, going on trips for fun and even writing about them?

I’ve had these questions before. Is it okay to do this when I promised to commit to only do His works? Is it okay to share about these things when I should share about the gospel? I honestly didn’t know the answer, now I do. I perfectly know. But I wanted to be honest to the Lord, so I prayed and told Him that I really wanted to do this; hence, the birth of this blog.

ALIGOLO (Alice Goes Yolo) aims to share insights on Japanese and South Korean culture and media, local food trips as well as travel journals under a Christian impression (as much as possible). This blog will try (with the best of the author’s ability) to view any subject with a heart that’s of the Spirit and share to others with a motive that’s of the Spirit. This blog will tell you, in many ways, that we can make the most out of everything–with His wisdom and guidance.

P.S.

Seems like I’ve got a legit excuse, no? I’m well aware of that. Nonetheless, I am constantly reminded of my goal through my personal devotional and prayers, so I must be confident in seeing this to its end. So, together, let’s yolo!

 Cheers,

Capture

    1. Ah nope Matt. It’s my first WordPress site before All About Abba. 😀 I just renovated it a bit. And thank you. I have seen the movie, but I have to re-watch it since I already forgot most of the movie scenes. Forgive me hoho

      1. I haven’t see Transcendence and Lone Ranger, I heard they were decent movies. But yes, PotC and Edward Scissorhands were great films. I also like him in What Eating Gilbert Grape.

      2. They were! Although his roles are both of a weirdo in both films. Haha. Nonetheless, I like how he transitioned from one role to another. He’s worthy of any Best Actor Award I can even bet my blog on it. Haha. Kidding (about the blog). He played very well Edward’s role. Like I even got emotional for him 😥 Haha. Is What Eating Gilbert Grape a great movie ? Would you recommend it? 😀

      3. So did I, I felt bad for him in Scissorhands. If you ever get the chance, they made a comic book series that continued after the movie.
Personally, it was a good movie. It’s not dark like Tim Burtons or exciting like the Pirate movies. It is a decent drama movie. It also has Leonardo DiCaprio.

      4. Really? That’s sounds interesting. I hope I can get an HD copy of it. I really like Johny Depp and I’d like to see him portray more roles than I have already seen.

      5. And so I googled What Eating Gilbert Grape and JDepp is I believe a teenager here, am I correct? If yes, I better watch this movie soon. Ohoho

      6. I haven’t seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but since JDepp is there, I believe it’s another great movie, isn’t it? But I want to watch first the one wherein he’s young and doing some drama. Leonardo’s also a bonus 😀

      7. Yes, of course. I will Matt. I might even post a review for it if it would make me cry (that’s the condition) XD Thank you for the tip!

      8. But you’re more awesome than me. You know more about things around. I am always the outdated one. And ooh, yes. I surely will watch the movie. Just you wait. Haha.

      9. How about us being both awesome? Haha. But you know I was reprimanded back then when I always brushed off people’s compliments. I was taught that I thank the person at least, since some, or maybe few might have took lots of courage to say those things to me. And it’s not good. So then, thank you Matt! 😀

      10. Cool. Hello Awesome! 😀 Btw, I’m still working on the nomination you sent me. I actually don’t have much to nominate back, that’s why I’ve been holding it off, for the time being. I haven’t explored more blogs here yet. Hoho

      11. Okay Mrs. Awesome :D. Take your time on the nomination. If you can’t find enough, just put in the people you have. I can imagine being difficult to find a lot of people. Just don’t worry 😉

      12. Awwe thank you a bunch! I’ve been pressured the whole time haha. But not by you of course. Pressured by the fact that I don’t have much here in WordPress. ;'(

      13. Ahaha. Yeah true but well, you know, it’s life itself that keeps us going.. So just gotta deal with it. I’m just glad God is there to help me out and of course, you and your prayers. Thank you. 🙂

      14. You’re welcome. I agree, everybody has to deal with life and sometimes it is not pleasant. Thank God He is in control. I may not be able to help you physically but I am willing to help from afar with my prayers 😀

      16. Like seriously 24/7? That’s a lot to manage Matt. Haha. I can only attend to my blog atleast 5 focused-hours a day and 4 days a week. The rest, I have to take a breather and read some books, stay away from my computer, sleep, or play with my siblings. 😀 I know you might just be kidding with the 24/7 thing, but just let things be. XD

      17. I bet they’d be. We have lots of Star Warriors here in the Philippines. Is it the same in your place? It’d be a very epic day, I’m sure. Haha. Yaas! Thank you, you too Matt.

      18. Oh. Haha. That’s quite funny. Just quite. Haha. People should look forward more to Christmas than any other events on that day, shouldn’t they? 😀 Well I guess that can’t be helped. Star Wars has rested long enough, and now that it’s time for awakening, that’s not something one should miss. Right? Ohoho

    1. Hey Matt! Ahhh. Thank youuu. Haven’t really had the sweetest time to sit and work on my nominations by you. Just having things to take care at the moment but I promise to get these done as soon as I can. Thank you again.
